It is always nice to have someone (best if the person is a nice and helpful stranger) answers your question. I am referring to my question posted at Daily Writing Tips under the title "All About Quotation Marks".
I highly recommend this blog to everyone who is serious about wanting to know more and improving on their writing skills.

Some buddies said that my blog is rather informational. Thanks for the compliment. That is how I intend it to be. Thanks for noticing it. Occasionally I will doodle about my life like an on-off-and-on-again diary or journal under the 'Doodle' section of my blog.
Whenever I blog, these are the stuff that will populate the real estate of my laptop screen:
- Google search engine to search out facts for me to include in my blog
- Wikipedia will assist me in learning a little extra about the subject matter
- Dictionary.com to get the spelling of words right as well as the meaning of the words sorted out. It's very useful when I try to be politically correct.

I also took a quiz at Blogthings on the type of blogger personality. The result is very pleasing to me.

Using Web as A Platform

I switched to Firefox from IE 7.0 on 2nd January 2007 (yeah, yeah, I am a late comer) and have not regretted ever since.
By mid January 2007, I kicked off a mini project to reorganize my tech-life. I called it 'Consolidate and Interoperate Project' and it was ultimately lame. I did some brainstorming and finally it became to my senses that I could not come out with any witty name so I stick to the lame. Better be lame than nothing...(what the heck!)
Anyway, the whole idea is to bring 80% of what I could do on my laptop/desktop to the web. That means:
-
having as much of my stuff be stored on the web (Web as a storage platform)
-
making as many stuff operateable from the web (Web as a productivity plaform)
-
sharing as much of my stuff (that I wish to share) on the web (Web as a community platform)
-
linking and hooking everything up through the web (Web as a communication hub)
So far so good! I am on track.
-
Google Reader is my 'window to the world' (RSS is life!).
-
Meebo is my web based IM when I can't use Windows Live Messenger or Yahoo! Messenger.
-
Google Calendar is where I organize my life
-
Google Docs and Spreadsheet is where I share my [web] documents
-
Terapad.com is where I host my blog
-
Flixter.com is where I tell people what movies have I watched
-
Friendster.com is how I link up with my buddies
-
Dictionary.com is where I refer to for new words
-
Foxmarks and Del.icio.us are where I sync all my favorites/bookmarks
-
Standpoint.com is where I reaffirm my opinions and belief
-
etc...
The list is far from complete and the initiative is far from over. It is really very premature actually. There is just too much choices out there and I am trying them out. Web 2.0 is a wow!
